Virgo Full Moon

19 Feb

I am ready to healThe Virgo Full Moon February 19th could bring matters of health and healing to a head.  It may be that some health issue is clearing up or requires attention. Maybe you start a new diet or exercise routine or find a new doctor, healer or protocol that resonates with you.  As the sign of work and service, it could be your job, employment or skills that are emphasized now.  Perhaps a situation with co-workers, employees, an apprentice, a helper or ‘handy man’ enters the picture.

Virgo rules over details and organization so this is a great time to clear the clutter and put things in their proper place.  This is the time to make sure all your systems are running smoothly and to make corrections to perfect processes, programs and practices.  Efficiency and function are key as the what and how of what needs doing or fixing comes to light at this Full Moon.

Chiron, the Wounded Healer, recently back in Aries and set to stay for the next seven years, contacts this Full Moon suggesting new or alternative techniques for self-healing, by making aggressive adjustments and corrections regarding health matters which may include a detox, cleanse or surgery to attack and correct.

Uranus in the last degree of Aries connects to the Full Moon assisting in making changes to your work, health and daily routines.  You can inject some excitement into your everyday to dodge the doldrums.

Mars in Taurus connects favorably to the Full Moon suggesting that you’re making deliberate attempts in reworking your daily routines. You can be firm in your pursuits, able to make sustained efforts at improving, correcting and mending and   the changes that you set in motion are likely to stick.

Just one day before the Full Moon, Venus and Saturn meet up in Capricorn seeding a new cycle for your financial goals and/or relationship status. You could be establishing a financial structure, dealing with long-term investments, retirement plans, etc. or maybe you’re trying to cut back on spending and curb cravings, using discipline, focusing on essentials only.  Perhaps you’re outlining a business, an organization, a timeline or a schedule.  You may be laying down boundaries in relationships or recognizing your role and responsibilities in a partnership or to those high-ranking relationships. You may only want to deal with people that are ‘real’ now.

Mercury and Neptune meet up in Pisces seeding a new cycle, blending intellect and imagination while connecting with Saturn in Capricorn. Your mind may want to wander, or you could feel spaced out, facts are fuzzy and information is unclear. You could experience misunderstandings so pay attention to what is being said so you’re not misled.  Luckily, stern Saturn in Capricorn connects favorably bringing some stability, assisting you to focus and concentrate, contrasting your reveries with reality.  Watch signing paperwork, it could contain errors and omissions and could obligate you for a long time.

On another level, this influence has a finely tuned creative sensitivity enabling you to be very perceptive, able to get subtleties and undercurrents of what is being said as words, images and feelings merge. You may even be able to attract and create what you imagine, able to visualize the details, molding and forming things to your liking.  Be mindful of your thoughts.

Full Moon Blessings and Good Vibes to ALL!

Super Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo

16 Jan

blood moonThe Full Moon in Leo on January 21st is a rare and powerful Super Moon – Blood Moon- Total Lunar Eclipse.  It will be visible on the East Coast of the U.S so get outside Sunday night around 10:30 pm EST and look up!

Eclipses are a big deal in astrology- like potent waves of energy – seeming to have the effect of moving things forward rapidly by some catalyst event or moment or a chain of events that changes up your path a bit.

The Cosmic weather starts heating up by the 18th rendering an eventful and wild weekend leading up to the eclipse.

The Lunar Eclipse in the very beginning of Leo highlights children, creativity and the things that fill you with joy, passion and pride.   Your talents, gifts and abilities could be in the spotlight now. Or the focus may be on matters of the heart or anyone and anything that’s the center of your Universe.  Creative projects could also reach a turning point now.  Leo is also known for drama, theatrics and entertainment and this period may bring quite a show.

Uranus in the very last degree of Aries sends a jab to this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse bringing in some excitement and a few surprises.

You may have flashes of inspiration spurring an artistic project, you could hit it off with a new comrade or find a cause that inspires and warms you.   There’s the urge to break free and act with spontaneous, authentic self-expression.  You may surprise someone- even yourself- with your bold genius.

This is a North Node Eclipse pointing toward the future. The Nodes are in critical degrees adding extra emphasis. In fact, several planets are in critical degrees at this Eclipse.

Venus and Jupiter in Sagittarius connect with Mars in Aries filling the atmosphere with passion and enthusiasm. There’s a desire for adventure and exploration, you want to include more into your life, willing to take a risk to go further than you have before, and you have all the gusto to get you there.

Sparks could fly in the love department and there may be many opportunities you want to act on.  This looks like a “whole lotta love” as Someone or something could really appeal to your liking in a big way, capturing your attention so that you quickly make your play.  Leo rules over love and romance.

On another level, this could come in the form of financial opportunities that you want to act quickly on as it looks like it could be a lot of money.  Leo also rules over gambling, speculation, lucky breaks and taking a chance.

The caveat here is Stickler Saturn has a say in this and cautions you to slow down or there may be stumbling blocks causing frustrations and delays.  Patience.

Neptune also gets in the mix clouding things so use the delays to see if it’s the real deal or too good to be true.

Full Moon Blessings and Good Vibes to ALL!

Taurus Super Moon

12 Nov

The Moon is full in the sign of the Bull on November 14th and it is a Super Moon, one we haven’t seen the likes of in nearly 70 years! It will be big and bright and shining a lot of light, illuminating dark places. Both Taurus and Scorpio are signs that deal with security; emotional and material security. We must reconcile which things we are to hold on to and what we need to let go of. Situations dealing with what we’re comfortable with, what or who we trust, issues of life and death, who we love, our possessions, resources, finances and the things that we value will come up now. We may see a turning point in some area that we’ve been plodding along in or a project that we’ve been building up. Taurus is an Earth sign and is also associated with gratitude, Gaia and her resources; these things are highlighted now. During this time of year, we’re getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving here in the U.S. honoring Earth’s abundance and the things that we’re thankful for.
Uranus is connecting with this lunation suggesting that there are changes and adjustments to be made. This may inject an element of surprise and unpredictability which may not be welcomed as some of our security buttons are being pushed; perhaps even a security breach or a breach of trust. Alternatively, there could be a shake up to a situation that’s been stuck and stagnant. It may also involve new groups, new friends or new technology. This influence can threaten something stable or energize a stale situation. Obviously, this may cause some discomfort even when these changes are the very thing we’ve wanted and needed.
Venus, the ruler of this Taurus Full Moon is in conservative Capricorn. This has us feeling cautious in matters of love and money. We value things of substance or things that are traditional and that stand the test of time. We’re willing to invest in the long term now. We are not into frivolous spending or casual relationships right now. We can also be made aware of the responsibilities that we have to our loved ones and how some of these important relationships help to shape our lives.
At the time of this Full Moon, Mercury and Juno conjunct in Sagittarius connecting with Mars in Aquarius; again, highlighting the importance of meaningful relationships. This may mean that speaking our truth and engaging in honest conversations in regards to relationships, partnerships and agreements has potential to create spontaneous actions, unexpected moves or a show of independence. Expanding our perception and making future plans could also mean a change of direction.
Neptune is conjunct the South Node in Pisces suggesting that we are letting go of old illusions, mistakes, blind spots and escape routes. This is an emotional process.
Chiron in Pisces also connects favorably with this lunation providing some compassionate healing and to ease our suffering a bit.
Jupiter is moving in to contact Saturn in Sagittarius, Jupiter’s ruler. This is a positive interchange and stabilizing influence. These two social planets will be in close proximity into 2017. We can be cautiously optimistic and able to work on opportunities for growth. There could be are career opportunities or opportunities for advancement that also comes with responsibility. We may need to evaluate options and make long range decisions. This also suggests that we are more conservative and cautious, cutting back, narrowing our options -also in regard to our associations and agreements. It also points to our growing responsibility to conserve and to increase the balance and even it up.

Jupiter in Libra is also closing in on a square to Pluto in Capricorn. This is an important aspect that doesn’t happen often. We’ll see these two go at it again in the coming months. This is one of the major shapers and /or players of 2017.

Jupiter is a social planet dealing with subjects like our world view, opinions, beliefs, religion, sense of right and wrong and the Law. Libra deals with fairness and equality and balance. Pluto is a slower moving, generational planet and a force that pushes for evolution and brings forth powerful transformations in whatever it comes into contact with; Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and represents the structure and framework of our society, the rules, authority and what is considered to be socially acceptable. These energies squaring off will challenge and transform some of these areas and change the social fabric within our society for generations. We must be mindful and try to take the high road, to be fair and inclusive and to co-create a world that we all want to live in.

We’re being faced with a challenge to reform structures and even out the playing field. Jupiter in Libra asks that we have faith in others and to give them a fair shake without labels and with more tolerance. The flip side of that is that we can become overly judgmental or excessively moral and righteous. Follow the golden rule and treat others how you want to be treated! It’s pretty simple. This is the right thing to do as one human being to another and deep down we we know this to be true.

Jupiter in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn wants us to have fair dealings that are mutually beneficial; there is an increasing opposition that challenges a consolidation of power and dares a destruction to things that may seem to have been set in stone and a reformation, a new framework upon which we build our lives and our society. Faith in others, tolerance and an increase in peace and harmony can stimulate the rebuilding of structures, rules, policies, etc. We need agreements and rules we can all live with and must be able to see things from another side, or to seek alternatives.

On another level, we can experience growth and opportunity through our associations and we’re able to outgrow and move beyond other relationships or patterns of relating. Our contact with others can increase now and we can be pushed to eliminate any blocks or resistance. The relationships and agreements we enter into now have the power to change our lives for better or worse.

Jupiter in Libra is also a very creative influence and pitted with Pluto in Capricorn, we could be rehabbing, recycling and up-cycling. We want to improve and refine, turning trash to treasure and making shit shine.

New Moon Blessings to ALL and Happy Thanksgiving!

May 25 Lunar Eclipse

25 May

May 25 Lunar Eclipse

This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is at 4’ 08” Sagittarius.  Sagittarius is the sign of the Sage, the seeker, the adventurer on a quest for Truth.  It also governs over religion, faith, foreign matters and higher education, as well as publishing and legal matters.  There may be an ending or turning point in regard to any of those matters. Because this eclipse is in Sagittarius, Jupiter is the ruler of this eclipse. Jupiter has been in his opposite sign of Gemini for all of 2013 and a good bit of 2012 too. This Eclipse is a kind of a ‘farewell’ party in his honor from the cosmos as Jupiter will leave Gemini in mid June. During Jupiter’s stay in Gemini, we’ve had some time to think about our beliefs, faith, religion, life’s philosophy; we’ve been questioning assumptions, prejudices and our worldview.  The Gemini/Sagittarius polarity was receiving eclipses since 2010, and accelerating us along this path of growth in consciousness and allowing us to encompass other viewpoints or to be tolerant of other viewpoints and beliefs at the very least.  It could be a time of discovery while learning our own personal truth and adjusting our lives accordingly in this process.

The Sabian symbol for the Moon at this eclipse is “an old owl up in a tree”.  The owl symbolizes wisdom, mystery, transition (since it’s associated with death and death is a transition), messages, secrets and clairvoyance. The owl is able to see things that are hidden, its nocturnal and has the ability to see in the dark and most people are afraid of the dark; it is a place that we fear.  But a Full Moon is bright and brings illumination and this one is especially bright since it is a “Super Moon” making it at least 17,000 miles closer than usual to Earth.  It may light up certain dark crevices and shed light on things that have been hidden from us.

This Full Moon is challenged by Neptune making things highly sensitized or emotional. This could also be a very spiritual or creative time. Neptune rules water and the ocean.  Since this is a Full Moon, tides could be even higher with potential for flooding.  Also marine life like dolphins and whales could be brought to our attention for some reason.  The Sabian symbol for Neptune is “officers on dress parade”   and it might be that we are able to see through certain illusions and cover ups and “the right image” that is presented before us. We may have to have faith in our own truth and discard certain illusions that have been the cause of our own undoing.  The biggest illusion being that of separateness.

Mercury, The Messenger and Venus, the Lover meet up in Gemini at this eclipse joining our hearts and minds and having us enjoying conversations and socializing.  Jupiter is close by too possibly making it a big event with a lot of people such as a wedding or graduation.    It is a holiday weekend here in the U.S. and the kickoff to the summer season so maybe you are enjoying a BBQ or vacationing. Watch with alcohol.  Alcohol and ‘altered states’ of consciousness fall under the domain of Neptune who is very prominent at this Eclipse.

In the News:   A bridge in Washington State collapses plunging cars into the water.  And military misconduct as officers are accused of secretly spying on cadets and taking pictures while they were undressing.
