Virgo New Moon

18 Sep

compassion1Health and healing –on all levels- is at the essence of this New Moon in Virgo.  True Wellness only exists when we’re physically, mentally and spiritually healthy and each affects the other.

Matters concerning health may come to light or turn a corner now.  Maybe you’re on the road to recovery or perhaps you have found or are in search of the right doctor, healer, treatment or course of therapy and the best medicine for you.  This is also an appropriate time to begin a new diet or exercise regimen.

Although the New Moon is the time for seeding, this New Moon, to me, also has the feel of a Full Moon; there is something coming to a head.  There is a lot of energy building as half of the planets are now gathering in Virgo, and across the sky we have Chiron, The Wounded Healer in Pisces.  At this New Moon, we have the Sun, Moon, Mercury Venus and Mars in Virgo.  This is putting a huge emphasis on the need for order, purging and purification of toxicity, unfinished business, past damage, and old karma.   This may call attention to many of your sore spots and vulnerabilitiesThe scope of which is quite vast, besides any physical ailments, you could be feeling inferior, second- rate, not being enough, victimized, disadvantaged, disregarded, discarded, disappointed, disillusioned, duped, overlooked, ignored, snubbed, abandoned, addicted, abused, used, taken advantage of or taken for granted as a few examples.  Large doses of compassion and forgiveness are in order, even toward yourself.  Especially toward yourself.

Saturn in Sagittarius further aggravates the situation by piling on the responsibilities and sizable obstacles, demanding discipline and accountability and reminding you of all the ways you don’t measure up or how you’re not meeting the test.  Saturn and Chiron have been at odds all year but this New Moon increases the tension.

This can be a tough time for a lot of people with feelings of overwhelm, despair, failure and loss; trying to bring order to the chaos. The good news is that this phase can shed light on the ways in which you’ve been victimized by limiting beliefs and imprisoned by programming that keeps you wounded and weak.

All this Virgo energy stresses the importance of being discerning, discriminating and prioritizing.  Virgo likes organization, efficiency, productivity and a streamlined process. Virgo also wants perfection but it is likely that everything that is not perfect is underscored now.  This time marks a turning point, a threshold, as any programs or processes that fumble or fail or conditioning which serves no purpose other than to keep you small and full of self-doubt can be relinquished now.  As uncomfortable as this may be, use it as an opportunity to get clear on any missteps and oversights and to course correct.

Silver linings, right?

Mercury in Virgo is opposite Neptune in Pisces and there may be confusion or difficulty thinking clearly.  You may have to fine tune some plans and details to match your vision.  It’s important to be clear in communications as there could be misunderstandings so don’t just assume or imply; documents dealing with facts and figures may be off perhaps having information that is missing or omitted. There may be an absence of communication, or things that are left unsaid.  There could even be lying and deceit.  Alternatively, you could be thinking and imagining your next best steps to sorting out, problem solving and reorganizing.  You can imagine what your perfect world would look and feel like and take practical steps in creating it.

There’s more good newsKinda sorta.  Uranus in Aries also aspects this New Moon suggesting that we can shift gears by initiating changes, even changing directions that brings forth liberation, allowing you to break free.

Relationships and money may see some shake-ups and surprises or there could be romantic sparks, fun and excitement as Venus trines Uranus in Aries.

Jupiter in Libra is also moving in to an opposition with Uranus in Aries and you may be walking the tightrope; straddling between the need to assert your freedom, independence and individuality and needing some space and autonomy vs. getting on well with others, being tolerant, inclusive and cooperative.  Jupiter has been in Libra for the past year helping to ensure that you enter relationships and agreements that are fair and in alignment with your truth and that you can move beyond outgrown relationships and patterns.  It is a challenge to gain center and balance in this new vibration and frequency.  On another level, there may be increasing opposition, competition and the need for equality antagonizing rebellion and revolution, sudden moves and unexpected actions.  These two planets have faced off earlier in the year and we witnessed many protests and uprisings.

Asteroid Goddess Ceres, positioned in Cancer makes her presence felt as she engages in aspects with the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Uranus and Chiron.  This may needle your sense of belonging and urges you to enlarge your contacts and connections with those that are more in alignment, get involved with new friends, join groups, networks and with those of like mind. This readily assists in healing a void and feelings of separateness or isolation.  On another level, this is about nurturing, nutrition, care, patterning and habits and the changes we initiate, in the everyday to heal and bring things into balance.  This is especially relevant to women and their cycles, phytotherapy, food as medicine and herbs.

Virgo Full Moon

21 Feb

virgoFMpicOn the Virgo Full Moon we could see matters concerning health come to a head.  Or it could be that we see a situation at work turn a corner. Mercury, the ruler of this Full Moon is in Aquarius and conjunct Pallas so information could be coming in quickly or it could be that it keeps changing.  Situations with information and technology in the workplace may be highlighted during this time and there could be trouble shooting needed. It could also be that you are now willing to look at things from another perspective and think outside the box.  Change your thinking change your life.  Pallas in the humanitarian sign of Aquarius could also represent a champion for a cause.

This Full Moon is opposite Neptune conjunct Ceres in Pisces and it could be that information is not clear or you don’t have all of the facts yet.  On another level, it is important now to nurture ourselves and others with compassion, in particular those that may be afflicted with addictions or mental illnesses. Instead of being overly critical or judgmental, we need to be able to see their wounds reflected in ourselves and our own imperfections and to be willing to walk in the shoes of another. In matters of health and healing, alternative healing is highlighted now and the use of herbs, supplements, phytotherapy or hospice could also play a role.  Also, healing through vibration and crystals is also suggested or implied at this time.  It may be that these types of therapies are brought more into our awareness now and we may gain more knowledge about the healing effects of diet and using food as medicine as well as energy medicine. On another level, it could be that there are flooded crops or crops that are poisoned or toxic due to the effects of pesticides and GMO’s. These types of subjects may be brought to light and become more of a mainstream topic at this time.

We still have Jupiter and the North Node side by side in Virgo offering opportunities and guidance to our future path of service and/or healing and how to live our everyday lives to the fullest. We could be improving our health; learning a craft or deepening our skills; it could also be that mentor/apprentice relationships can play a role now.  This is also facing off with an opposition to Chiron in Pisces indicating that we are asked to go within and find our own inner truth, move beyond fears, insecurities and feelings of inferiority and to reconcile those wounds from the past and to let them go.  We need to learn from our mistakes. A major theme throughout the year suggests that we go back and finish old business.  With Mercury now in Aquarius, we may be able to look at a situation differently and can be open to a new approach.

Mars in Scorpio quincunx Vesta in Aries indicates that our dedication to our own self-interests may have to give way to efforts toward getting to the core of an issue for constructive or destructive purposes or for our aims at sharing or closeness.

Blessings to All at this Full Moon!

Taurus Full Moon

24 Oct

worth

Taurus Full Moon

The Taurus Full Moon on October 27th is a time of the year when we must reconcile our need for acquisition and consumption with our need to let go.  There may be much that we’ve been holding on to in the name of ‘security’ or comfort and the time has come to release it.  It may be something material, a relationship, an idea or even a habit or belief that no longer serves us.  Be brave.  Confront it. Let it go.  Both Taurus (Moon) and Scorpio (Sun) deal with issues of security; Taurus deals with material security and Scorpio emotional security.  At the time of this Taurus Full Moon, it may come to light the things that we’ve been holding onto that must be released.

What issues may have come up for you?

This Full Moon may also mark a turning point in any financial matters as both Taurus and Scorpio are money signs.  Worth equals wealth ~ know that YOU ARE WORTHY!

Saturn the Task Master and Manifestor makes his presence felt at this Full Moon.  Saturn in Sagittarius has us consolidating, curbing our enthusiasm, slowing our growth, focusing on our future, limiting our opportunities and any excess while testing our faith. It seems we’ll need to make adjustments accordingly where our finances are concerned.  We’re now shouldering more responsibility and there is a need to cut back.  It is a time to slow down, take deliberate action and to have more meaningful experiences.

This Full Moon is also in a favorable aspect with Neptune in Pisces giving potential to create our vision slowly, one step at a time or on the flip side, to unravel everything that’s been built.

It is also a time to value, appreciate and marvel at the mystery of the interconnectedness and oneness in ALL.  Create something Magickal!

Taurus is ruled by the love planet Venus, so issues surrounding relationships and appreciation continue to surface so that we may reconcile them and put them to rest once and for all.  Right now Venus is in Virgo, not her favorite sign to be in and she’s in opposition to Chiron in Pisces and quincunx to Uranus in Aries.  We may be made aware of underlying psychological issues that affect our relationships with others and to ourselves and how we may begin to heal. By bringing this unpleasantness to awareness, being present with it and sending it healing energy and  love we can break free from feelings of insecurity, inferiority, shame and a lack of self-worth that keep us imprisoned. Let go of the need to be overly critical or desiring perfection. We can help the process of healing by realizing that we are all one and we are all in this together.  This is hard work but we are changing the world one person at a time starting with ourselves! Healing ourselves and how we relate to one another helps heal the world. It is time to move beyond some of these things that may cause stress, anxiety or depression that then finally manifest in physical disease. Dis-ease!

When my Taurus Sun son was very small, just starting to talk, he would spread himself on the sofa and frantically yell, “I’m stuck! I’m stuck! I’m stuck! I would have to drop everything I was doing and help him get himself ‘unstuck’, peeling him from the sofa and then I’d reassure him that he wasn’t stuck at all.  I would show him how easily he could ‘free’ himself. After several months he finally outgrew that.  At the time of this Full Moon ask yourself where you have been stuck.  Often it goes on without realizing it because it’s been hidden from our awareness, operating unconsciously. Commit to letting go and freeing yourself.

Blessings to ALL at this Full Moon!

P.S The time of the Taurus Full Moon is a good time to show gratitude and appreciation.  Big Love and Big Thanks to all of you that read and subscribe.  I would soooo appreciate it if you would share the love and spread the word.

Water Grand Trine

19 Jul

While thinking about this Water Grand Trine between Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces, the issue of race came to mind. It’s a hot topic lately here in the U.S. especially after the Trayvon Martin verdict. Cancer rules over things like race, lineage, our roots, etc.  The law, courts and legal decisions fall under the realm of Jupiter as well as our sense of right and wrong. The issue of race has also made the news recently with the Paula Dean scandal and also with a Cheerios commercial a few weeks back that featured a bi-racial family that ‘offended’ people.  It seems that we need to explore this taboo subject and break down the fears and barriers and realize that we are all connected. We are one race, the human race.  Sure there are differences among us that may be specific to particular groups but so what? That’s what adds a little flavor and variety to life. Why do minor differences divide us?  We should be able to acknowledge differences without out it causing hate. No one really wants to have an honest talk about it. Why is it black or white? Why does one group have to blame or play victim to the other? It seems that the Universe is conspiring to have us honestly acknowledge the subject of race and cultural lineage and differences along with some of our beliefs, assumptions and prejudices in this regard.  Mars will conjunct Jupiter and move into this Water Grand Trine on July 20th  possibly bringing all of this water energy to a boil with emotions and anger as people try to assert their own ideologies, opinions and beliefs.  There is also another Grand Trine between Mercury in Cancer, The North Node in Scorpio, and Chiron in Pisces.  This could indicate that healing could come by having these emotional conversations that are critical in order to birth a new path and destiny. We also still have the ongoing square between Uranus and Pluto causing social unrest and upheaval around the world until 2015. These planets met up in a conjunction in the late sixties.  During that time, here in America, there was a lot of racial tension and Martin Luther King Jr. was killed during that period.  It appears that this theme is upon us once again.  So what are we going to do about it?  Can we ever get beyond the issue of race?

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus

8 May

Its Eclipse time and change is in the air. There was much we had to get to the core of lately, and extract any decay or ‘non-essentials’.  Something may have met its end. Don’t worry!  We need to make room for the new!  Several of the personal planets have just had it out with Saturn enabling us to see what needed to go and give us the strength and stamina to move mountains and get the job done. Saturn may have also had us feeling blocked, delayed or frustrated for whatever reason or it could be that there was an issue with a parent, boss or authority figure or even with you as the parent or authority.  Maybe we have been working very hard lately for long term goals or results with little appreciation or compensation. While all of this hard work wasn’t so immediately gratifying, we should start seeing the results or reaping some rewards soon enough.  The New Moon Solar Eclipse in the fertile sign of Taurus will see to the growth of the new seeds we are planting. Taurus is an Earth sign and ruled by Venus, the Goddess of beauty and love. We may literally be getting our hands in the earth and planting seeds. It’s the perfect time to spend in natural surrounds and revel in Mother Nature.  With Pallas in such close aspect, it is very favorable for healing Mother Earth as well as beautifying the landscape.   Pallas in Taurus could also highlight issues with plant based medicine, as well as healing through touch and massage.  We’ll also be getting some help from Mars and Mercury at this Eclipse. While they met up on the 7th-8th,    having our thoughts and actions  in sync on practical matters,  getting things done and ‘handling the baggage’ as indicated by the Sabian Symbol.  At this time, we are concerned with how we are making our lives more secure and enjoyable, our relationships more relate-able and our surroundings more beautiful.  Taurus is a material sign and wants to be comfortable and to have a quality of life, not just earn a paycheck.  This eclipse could help us to come up with practical plans that are bound to last.  Taurus carries on and is unwavering and solid but also slow to move and doesn’t want to give anything up or change easily (that includes possessions, relationships, ideas etc.). With the help of Mercury keeping our ideas grounded, they able to take form as Mars gives us the energy to push on, keep at it and ‘make it happen’.  A Solar Eclipse indicates new beginnings but the South Node is close to this eclipse which is karmic and rooted in the past.  The Scorpio Lunar eclipse on April 25 was about letting go and it could be that we are made aware of what ruts we get stuck in and why.  And we may actually be able to do something about it!  Finally!  We may be able to shake lose what mental ruts or thought patterns that seemed to be permanent and go on forever.  We may be able to use some of our practical gifts, talents or lessons from the past to make something new that we like and that will last as well as provide us with more comfort, security and enjoyment.   We could even be transforming old structures or recycling and making something new (and pretty!).    Pluto and Ceres also go head to head at this eclipse possibly providing a turning point with obsessions and intensity in regard to parenting, child rearing, family / clan issues; parent/child complexes – especially with issues of attachment and separation  and ‘mother love’ vs. self-love as well as issues of nurturing and nutrition.

This New Moon Solar Eclipse is at 19’31” Taurus.  The Sabian Symbol is “Wisps of clouds, like wings are streaming across the sky”.   We are able to see things from a higher perspective and have become aware of where we may need to change course.  Pallas is in the same degree as this eclipse giving us a broader perspective, enabling us to get the bigger picture, she further helps us in problem solving, trouble shooting and planning.  It seems that after the removal of the decay, we are left with very fertile ground at this eclipse.  Whatever we do now seems to be practical, sustaining and long lasting so make sure it is what you want!
