Libra Blue Moon

28 Mar

This Full Moon in Libra on March 31st is the second Full Moon within the month making it a rare Blue Moon.  This could be a trying time as you struggle to find your center or the middle ground on some matter. You may feel that you are between a rock and a hard place as you assess, evaluate, weight options or procrastinate. Relationships, reaching agreements or a fair deal could be a challenge now. There may be negotiations and the need for cooperation and collaboration as you try to knock someone off a fence to bring them over to your side while being faced with overcoming competition, opposition and resistance.

Mars and Saturn in Capricorn are in a harsh aspect to this Full Moon, adding to the tension and frustration.  These two only get together like this about every two years; so, it’s a seeding time for long range goals and things that you’re obligated and committed to for the long haul. You could be initiating business setups, schemes, structures, frameworks schedules and/or timelines; or asserting your authority, expertise and professionalism and cementing your position. Maybe you’re recently in a position of authority or under new management.  Perhaps there are new rules of engagement, new policies, procedures or protocol, new timelines, schedules and operations.   This is a time for disciplined and measured action.  This influence also stresses the importance of focusing on only the essentials and the things that stand the test of time.  Anything began now can reach far into the future and has staying power, but it also requires patience and perseverance. You could feel that nothing’s happening fast enough or you may feel like your efforts blocked, ambitions frustrated as things may be slowed, delayed or halted.  Don’t expect instant success.

About those timelines and schedulesMercury retrograde in Aries is opposite this Full Moon, conjunct the Sun in Aries. You might want to give yourself some extra time as Mercury retrograde can bring delays and the need to cover old ground.  You could be rethinking some of your actions, reconsidering your approach or plan of attack in some situation. Take time to think about what pushes your buttons and to question your motives.  There could be, new plans, bold ideas, thought provoking information, harsh words and a defiant tone. It may be a time to initiate talks and negotiations, retrace your steps, bounce ideas off others to get their input and opposing views and to recognize your own limitations.

Venus in Aries is the ruler of this Libra Full Blue Moon.  Just a few days before the Full Moon, Venus, Goddess of beauty and love, and money and values too, met up with Uranus the awakener; perhaps shaking the stability of an important relationship, or maybe you felt it in your bank account.  There could be new friends or connections coming out of the blue, or that fill you with excitement.  Maybe you become involved with a group of some sort, join a club or a movement.  It’s possible to have a change in values and worth or unexpected income or expenses. Maybe you just get pushed out of complacency and a comfort zone.  Venus moves into her own sign of Taurus by the time the Full Moon arrives, and things may settle down by then but don’t expect to remain in your comfort zone for long.  Uranus will move out of Aries and into Taurus come mid-May and that is going to push everyone out of their comfort zones; but more on that later.

Full Moon Blessings and Good Vibes to ALL at this Blue Moon!

Super Blue Moon Lunar Eclipse

29 Jan

projected imageThe first month of 2018 ends with a rare and powerful celestial event; a Blue Moon- Super Full Moon- Lunar Eclipse.  A Blue Moon is when two Full Moons occur within a single month; a Super Moon is when the Moon is closer to Earth and appears larger in the sky and a Lunar Eclipse is always a significant occurrence in Astrology.

Eclipses have a way of speeding up and accelerating events, activities and goings on; perhaps even changing the trajectory or course you were on through some incident or a series of happenings.  Don’t fear; this is one way that the Universe puts us on path. There is often a hint of the unexpected where Eclipses are concerned, emotions could be amplified so it is best to give yourself some space if you can.

This time could mark a turning point in any creative endeavors or affairs of the heart that were put into motion at the Leo New Moon in July or even the Great American Total Solar Eclipse back in August.

This Lunar Eclipse in Leo brings to light many attributes of the Lion; being confident, proud and big hearted, showing courage, leadership and follow through.  Beware of being an arrogant braggart, showing off too much or displaying a sense of entitlement.

The North Node so close to this Lunar Eclipse points to the path with heart.  Follow it.  This period brings attention to your Creator-Self.

There is a lot of Energy building in Aquarius, across the sky from the Moon.  This suggests the desire for change, awakening, revelation and inspiration.

Asteroid Goddess Ceres makes the closest aspect to the Moon.  Her prominence suggests the need to nurture your inner child, your creative genius and your inner essence.  Pay attention to the things that give you joy, make you feel special and warm you. Nourish your gifts and talents. Be proud of yourself. Accept yourself.  Know your worth.

Neptune is also in a tense aspect with the Moon suggesting fine-tuning of one’s self-image and that its time to surrender the masks and illusions and trade them for authenticity.  Release those feelings of doubt, uncertainty, insecurity, inadequacy, anxiety, of being flawed, weak, abandoned or not enough and the things that keep you from love and from loving and fully expressing yourself and living your potential. This is also about body image, unrealistic ideals and being comfortable and confident with who you are, in your own right, in your own skin without the need for the approval of others.  CVS recently decided to ban photo retouching in their ad campaigns as just one manifestation of these energies.

Children and children’s issues are also front and center at this Lunar Eclipse.  Coupled with Ceres, this could illuminate matters involving child rearing and parenting, single parenting, custody, early education, child care, teachers or perhaps the arts in school or even meditation in classrooms. Maybe there is a child in your life that is feeling invisible these days and needs some extra attention.

This influence can also shed light on the need for making amends, alterations and corrections in situations involving the victimization of children. Especially things that are overlooked, ignored, secret or behind the scenes or if someone is turning a blind eye to and/or being complicit in inappropriate situations whether this is in Hollywood, the church, the Olympics or any other organized sports or schools.

Additionally, Ceres is also about family ties, feeling a sense of belonging and finding your tribe. This suggests that you should find yourself in the company of those that allow, accept and encourage you to be your most radiant, authentic self.  It is time to contribute and give your gifts and to know your place within a larger community.

On another level, this is tied to getting in touch with the natural energies of the Earth and the Solar energies.  Some could experience shifts and adjustments in the heart chakra or chest area or changes in sunlight that yields adaptations and modifications in the projection of images. Spend some time outside in natural sunlight and charge your batteries if you can.

Blessings and Good Vibes to All at this Super Blue Moon Eclipse!

Aquarius Full Moon- A Blue Moon

29 Jul

Aquarius+(1)

The time of the Aquarius Full Moon is the time to reconcile our need to feel special and our need to be an individual with the needs of the collective.  It is our time to use our special gifts or talents for the good of all and to create a win win situation.  At this time we may see a turning point or a culmination in the areas having to do with our social purpose and our social circles, our friends, and groups that we belong to or have a common link with.  Aquarius is known for being a humanitarian sign and we can ask ourselves at this time, what our contribution is to the betterment of the larger society.  Aquarius is a sign having to do with changes and new things.  We may see a turning point in some of the changes that have been stirring and our discontent may now turn to excitement about how some of these changes will shape our future.  This Full Moon is special. It’s a Blue Moon.  Things are changing and coming to a head now as we head toward September’s Eclipses.

The Asteroid Ceres makes her presence known at this rare Blue Moon.

Ceres Rx in Aquarius is quincunx Venus Rx in Virgo at the time of this Full Moon. Venus re-enters Leo shortly after the Full Moon transpires. We may have a desire to purify now which could have us changing our diet, nutrition and exercise routines.  Food related disorders/illnesses or cures can come to light at this time.  Also any women’s issues such as gyno issues or hormonal symptoms could also be food related and therefore corrected or improved by altering the diet using phytotherapy or adding herbal supplements as an example.  Eat your medicine!  Body image also falls under the domain of Ceres and with Venus retrograding in the earliest degree of Virgo, we may desire beautiful perfection and be quite critical of ourselves or others when the ideal image is not lived up to.  The Sabian Symbol for the degree of this Full Moon reads, “Beautifully gowned wax figures”.  We may need to learn to accept being perfectly imperfect.  Venus will retrace her steps through Leo, and we may have to re-evaluate what or who we consider to be beautiful or a Glam God or Goddess.  Perhaps we can fall in love with ourselves and appreciate the gifts and talents that we do have and to know our own value without the need for perfection or comparison.

Neptune in Pisces is also in aspect to the Leo Sun now, helping us to modify some of our ideal images with the essence of our personality.

Child care, child rearing and early education also fall into the hands of Ceres and Leo is a sign that is also associated with children so these issues may become more prominent now.  We may need to make adjustments with young children now.  Perhaps we are preparing them for school.  We may also have to reinstruct them and their values and make some changes.  The lessons may include teaching them that they’re not the only ones and the importance of their role within a larger group, how to participate and to wait your turn as well as make your contribution.  It may also be a good time to learn to appreciate and even enjoy our chores and routines and get some satisfaction from them.  We can learn to feel rewarded just from having a sense of accomplishment and success from our efforts. That is the prize.

Ceres also has rulership over employment and the work force so there may also be some adjustments in work and employment situations and the money earned or paid and the value of work done or services provided.  Especially highlighted will be professions dealing with food and nutrition such as cooks, servers or even farmers and farm to table establishments, nutritionists, caretakers and caring professions such as child care, or hospice workers as well as counselors just to name a few.

Jupiter in Leo is square Saturn Rx in Scorpio at the time of this Blue Moon. Our opportunities for fun and enjoyment may be challenged due to limited resources or wanting to conserve some of our resources, or perhaps due to deadlines, schedules, duties and responsibilities.  There is hard work ahead but we know we can do it.  We have opportunities for creating and materializing our future now and our growth at this time is more concentrated and focused.  Our sense of enthusiasm for risk and adventure may be met with cautiousness.  It may also be a time where growth in our confidence is stimulated by reforming and resurrecting our discipline.  It is a time to dig deep, find what you are made of at your core, and get in touch with your grit and determination in order to act on or take advantage of chance opportunities.

Full Blue Moon Blessings to All!!!
