Aries New Moon

24 Mar

warrior womanWe should start to feel a definite contrast to some of the challenging Energies we’ve been dealing with these past weeks.  The last New Moon in Pisces may have been an emotional time, with unfinished business coming up or old emotions and patterns that rose to the surface to be handled once and for all.  Then we had the Virgo Full Moon which had its set of challenges as we may have only been looking at everything that was wrong and clueless as to how to handle it.  If you felt that you were at the point of surrender, worry no more as relief is on the way! This is a potent New Moon helping us to feel animated and alive.

The New Moon in Aries on March 27th is a time for sowing seeds, new beginnings and fresh starts.  Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac making this the first New Moon in the Wheel of The Year.  We now have the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Uranus all touring the sign of the Ram helping to energize and fire us up. We could feel ready to get things underway and take action or impatient to get the ball rolling.

Venus retrograde is closely linked to this New Moon putting relationships front and center. Our Goddess of beauty and love has been wearing the mask of the warrior woman lately. War paint and all! We’re willing to fight for what we want, stand up for ourselves or act in our own interests.  And we’re okay with pissing off a few people in the process if need be. During her about-face, we’ve been given the time to think about what it is that we want for ourselves, how we assert ourselves, what we want out of our relationships, how we may have given into too many compromises, how we are appreciated, loved or valued, or not, and most importantly, how we love and value ourselves.  If feeling undervalued and underappreciated, time to look at your relationship with yourself.  Start there.  Everything else is a mirror. The seeds sown at this time will be infused with this Venus energy.

Juno is at a Critical Degree in Capricorn further emphasizing partnerships especially those involving long term commitments or business.

Mars is the ruler of this Aries New Moon and is in Earthy Taurus.  This makes us motivated toward material gain and building up something tangible.

Mars in Taurus also connects positively with Neptune in Pisces and there is a lot of potential for creativity.  We can begin to take real steps and to make sustained efforts in building something that we’ve long envisioned.

Mars and Juno also have a favorable connection so we may be taking steps in establishing a business partnership or the framework of a lasting union or agreement.

The days leading up to this New Moon, Mercury the Messenger faces off with Jupiter in Libra and then links up with Uranus in Aries.  This can bring exciting conversations, unexpected news, big plans and electrifying ideas, perhaps you suddenly have an “aha” moment and see the bigger picture.  Information may be coming in quickly, perhaps requiring a change of plans or mind. Talks could also get a bit heated; maybe you hear something shocking or someone verbally attacks you, maybe you get good news out of the blue or there could be unexpected changes in documents or paperwork; this may involve agreements, legal issues, promotion, advertising or network marketing or perhaps relations with friends and people in a new and wider social circle or groups you’re involved with.

Mercury is also in favorable aspect to Saturn in Sagittarius, suggesting that these insights, talks and ideas are in accord with our future goals. Mentally, we can be innovative as well as disciplined, perhaps even learning something new with technology.

Saturn in Sagittarius is still so close to the Galactic Center; the Center of our Galaxy from which Divine inspiration and guidance come forth.  Saturn manifests and materializes and this gives us a tremendous opportunity in the co-creation of our lives.  Saturn hasn’t been to this part of the Zodiac in nearly three decades so it is a big deal!   Some of us may have noticed that our manifestations are happening more quickly or perhaps we are more easily tuning into a higher guidance; this makes it very important to be mindful of what we are creating as it is our responsibility. Saturn will linger in this area as he is getting ready to retrograde on April 6th   through August 25th.  During his backtracking, we may have to review or revisit some of our goals and what success means to us, making sure everything is in alignment with our Truth. Saturn will once again connect with the Galactic Center in November, after that, Saturn won’t visit this area again until late 2046!

Just a few days after this New Moon, on March 30th, Jupiter in Libra will square Pluto in Capricorn for the second time.  This is one of those aspects that are shaping our current times especially with social changes and government structures. We see an increasing opposition challenging a consolidation of power and a need for a reformation of rules, policies and structures that are more fair and inclusive as well as mutually beneficial.

On a more personal level, this can mean that there are benefits and opportunities gained through others but the challenge is to tear down some of the walls we’ve build and to have faith in others.

Blessings to All at this Aries New Moon!

Virgo Full Moon

11 Mar

virgoAt this Full Moon in Virgo we could see the culmination of job situation or work project, or perhaps there is an issue with a co-worker, employee, hired hand or apprentice that comes to a head now.  We could also see a health issue come to light or a turning point with a health issue we’ve been dealing with.  It may even be a good time to find the right healer for you.  Matters of health, health care and healing are highlighted at this time including mental health.

Virgo is a sign associated with our everyday lives; our routines, the chores the paperwork, getting clean and organized, establishing healthy routines with diet and exercise, being efficient and skillful, handling all the details and making sure life runs smoothly.  The thing is, at this Full Moon, we still have quite a bit of energy across the sky in other worldly Pisces which can make us feel overwhelmed and inept at managing our mundane lives as it may be in striking contrast to our high ideals and grand visions.  There can be a sense of depression, negative thinking and self-defeatist attitudes creating the feeling of wanting to run, hide and reach for a bottle of Fukitol.

Mercury the ruler of Virgo is also in Pisces; clouding our minds and confusing our communications.  Or perhaps we want to dream the day away or to just retreat into silence and not have to communicate at all. The brain fog will life when Mercury makes his way into Aries just one day after this Full Moon and we may be more inclined to initiate a conversation or to come up with a plan of action then.

This Full Moon is in a harsh aspect to Task Master Saturn slapping us with a big dose of Reality and a need to face things with maturity. There is a lot of work, loads of responsibility and accountability, big obstacles, limited opportunity and growth and a need to conserve.   We’ll need to muster up some more patience and perseverance and to focus on the things that really matter.

There is a lot of tension surrounding this Full Moon but it’s not completely hopeless. Virgo is a sign known for having powers of discernment. Virgo is a good problem solver because of it’s need for perfection, it can see what is wrong in a situation and how to correct it.  This Full Moon may shed some light on just where we’ve gone wrong and what steps we need to take. We may be able to sort things out and make sense of things in a way that is useful, practical and helpful.

Some of the seeds planted near the New Moon Solar Eclipse back in September may also reach fruition now.

It is also possible that this Full Moon could shed light on some of the programming that we’ve organized our lives around and we’ll have to discern what is valid and useful in furthering our goals and what is just causing stress by worrying over all our imperfections.

We also have Chiron and Pallas conjunct in Pisces so this could be a very healing time though not without a few distressing moments.  We may be able to perceive subtleties, undercurrents and the interconnections to a situation; and see where we’ve made mistakes or hurt ourselves or what is causing our pain and what is the way through and the next step.  In terms of alternative healing this is a very good placement.

The opposition between Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries also connects with the Sun and the Moon creating tension and a need for adjustments.  As we are correcting imbalances and bringing things into alignment, there may be a period of adjustment and maybe symptoms or side effects.  Watch side effects of medications too.  On another level, this can put a strain on relationships and agreements and we may be walking a fine line between asserting our independence and freedom and making compromises.

Meanwhile, Venus is retrograde in Aries until April 15th.  The goddess of beauty and love, has gone into the underworld in the sign of the warrior creating a passive- aggressive, push-pull vibe.  There’s anger and irritation regarding others. This is a time to re-evaluate and perhaps renegotiate as you consider what you’re putting into and getting out of some agreements and relationships or situations involving co-dependence/independence/inter-dependence and your interactions with others.

The good news is that Jupiter in Libra also wants relationships and agreements that are meaningful or beneficial to all parties, and in alignment with our Truth.

More good news! Mars and Venus are now in Mutual Reception or having a favorable exchange of energies and able to work together. Mars is now in the earliest degrees of Taurus lending us endurance and enabling us to make sustained efforts.  We are motivated to establish something tangible and of value; moving forward one step at a time, one foot in front of the other.  If we started to feel our energies burning out while Mars was in the last degrees of Aries, this can aid us in steadying out a bit.

Blessings to ALL at this Full Moon!

Pisces Solar Eclipse

18 Feb

waves-and-lighteningThere is so much happening during this block of time February 20th through the first week of March, that if it is at all possible, give yourself some space and room to breathe and open yourself to change and revitalization.

Many celestial bodies are gathered in Pisces for this New Moon Solar Eclipse on February 26th; The Sun, Moon, Mercury, The South Node, Pallas and Chiron are all positioned in Pisces right now. Emotions and sensitivity, including psychic sensitivity will be heightened now. We could feel hopeless, helpless or victimized or alternatively, creative, inspired and connected to something much larger than ourselves; perhaps somewhere in between or all of the above.

With so much energy in watery Pisces, liquids and Water itself will be important or featured in some way.  This may involve our oceans, the tides, marine life, floods or the quality, availability or protection of drinking water. Flint Michigan, Standing Rock and Fukashima come to mind as just a few examples.

Mercury has just moved into Pisces so our mental faculties may not be so sharp but our sixth sense may be in full force. It’s possible now to know something without knowing how you know it; perceiving images and feelings.  Of course, it’s also possible that contracts have information missing or omitted or you could be confused or misled by something someone says.  Perhaps there is someone trying to deceive you or maybe you are the one using colorful language to avoid, escape or deceive.

This is a South Node Eclipse linking it to the past, suggesting that there are still some issues to be dealt with but it is also a New Moon Solar Eclipse indicating fertile ground for the future and a new beginning.

Eclipses are very significant in Astrology and have a way of speeding up events.  It’s the way the Universe accelerates our growth and puts us on path.  Sometimes it’s a bit messy at first.  All this Pisces energy points to a need to go with the flow.  All will not be clear just yet.

Things will be very unpredictable now as Mars in Aries squares off with powerful Pluto just days before this Eclipse; and at the time of this Eclipse, Mars is conjunct Uranus in Aries and opposite Jupiter in Libra. Changes, volatility and excitement fills the air.  Things are speeding up and changing at a very rapid pace and it will be difficult to determine which direction things are taking.  This is a very unstable influence yet it can also be exciting, thrilling and full of surprises.   Use caution when driving or operating machinery.

We could see break-throughs and break-downs where relationships and agreements are concerned.  There could be new friends or new groups, new technology, innovation and experimentation.  Perhaps there is a change of direction, erratic or unexpected actions and unusual alliances.  Deals and decisions may be made or broken now.  There could be ruptures, breaks and leaks.

This aspect of Jupiter opposite Uranus first formed at the end of 2016.  This is an aspect of social change, justice and revolution; and we’ve seen the rise of different social groups and causes fighting for Peace, Equality, a fair shake or share or to be heard and included.  There is also a new movement that’s formed as well as a growing opposition to this. Now Mars enters the picture and energizes or antagonizes this pattern.    We could see violence or volatility associated with any of these groups now.  It’s also possible that we see a new group or faction come into focus now.    This could be a very contentious time with confrontations difficult to avoid.

On another level, there is a stirring and swiftness to a great awakening that is taking place.  There is a new vibration or frequency that is pushing to bring things into alignment with Natural Law.

Jupiter in Libra is now retrograde for the next several months giving us the opportunity to backtrack, review and re-evaluate some of our agreements, relationships, decisions or laws.  We must weigh whether situations are in alignment with the Truth of who we are.  Some deals and decisions may need to be re-thought due to not being fair or ethical or on a more personal level, if something just doesn’t feel right to us.

Saturn, the Manifestor of 3-D reality is linked up to the Galactic Center for the first time in nearly three decades!  The Galactic Center is like the Sun of our Sun which divine wisdom and guidance is said to pour through.  This could be a very powerful time to give form to something with the inspiration coming straight from the center of the galaxy!  Pay attention now to your intuition. Manifestations are happening quickly now and it is especially critical to be conscious of what exactly we are creating at this time. This is our responsibility.

Saturn has been touring Sagittarius now since late 2014.  During this time, we have learned some big lessons, dealt with some major obstacles and setbacks, increased our responsibilities, discipline or accountability, our growth or progress has been slowed, our faith tested, our enthusiasm curbed; there has been a whole lot of adulting going on.  At the same time, we’ve been growing in experience and expertise and slowing down enough to really get the meaning of an experience.  Saturn still has more of his tough love to give and will move from this placement later this year.

Venus is currently in Aries and is the ruler of Libra. Peace loving Venus doesn’t feel quite comfortable in Aggressive Aries; and she is just one degree from the place she will retrograde just days after this Eclipse.  Venus will retrograde March 4th through April 15th. This suggests a re-evaluation of our motivations is in order and wanting or doing what is in our own best interests.  We may see some friction in our relationships or going back and forth in negotiations with no one wanting to make compromises or concessions in trying to come up with an agreement or arrangement that will work for all and it will be a struggle to strike a balance.

Venus is a planet that’s associated with art, beauty and design so if you are doing creative work, you may back pedal out of some of your choices and decisions.  It may also be that things must be roughed up, requiring some muscle or torn apart before we get to the beautiful result that we desire.

On another level, Venus Rx is not a good time to change your looks with a new hairstyle, clothes or cosmetic surgery. Buying and selling is also not advisable as you may pay too much for an item only for it to go on sale later. Or you could get a lower priced offer on something you are selling.  It is also not an ideal time to get married or to begin a new relationship.  Relationships from the past can also re-enter our scene when Venus is Rx.

Blessings to All at this New Moon Solar Eclipse!

Leo Lunar Eclipse & Mystic Rectangle

10 Feb

leolionpic

The Leo Full Moon on February 10th is also a Lunar Eclipse.  Eclipses are a big deal in Astrology.  They’re like an amped up Full or New Moon and can often have a surprise element to them. Events seem to be propelled forward in an unexpected or swift way.  A Lunar Eclipse can bring matters to a head or bring a situation to light. We could be charged up and stoked during this time and with the Eclipse in the sign of the proud Lion, this may involve matters of the heart, creative projects or situations with children or even our own inner child.

The Sun and Moon of this Eclipse connect favorably with Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus to form a Mystic Rectangle pattern in the sky.  There is much tension in this pattern but also loads of potential. The sky is now full of Fire and Air energies and we could be full of ideas and inspired to take action. We’re likely to feel quite passionate and willing to take risks as things are coming straight from our heart.  It will be difficult to remain neutral and not get caught up in the drama now.

Mercury has finally moved out of Capricorn and into Aquarius and we may have a new perspective on things.  Mercury also connects favorably with Venus in Aries aligning our hearts and minds.  With Venus in Aries, we can make moves, act in our own interests and go after our desires. We don’t mind ruffling a few feathers or getting a little aggressive to get what we want now.  There could also be talks about love and relationships, or maybe you meet someone new.  We could also see new agreements or arrangements dealing with finances or within relationships. It is also possible that you get surprising news about money or a loved one..

Chiron in Pisces also connects with the Moon in Leo, Jupiter Rx in Libra and Saturn in Sagittarius suggesting that it is time we give up some of our old ways which work against us and to re-evaluate what is in alignment with our Truth.  The ways in which we may have been acting childish, immature or as if we are the center of the Universe may come to light now and a realization of the need to learn to consider and to cooperate with others and to show more discipline, accountability and maturity.

Blessings to All at the Lunar Eclipse!

Aquarius New Moon

25 Jan

bald-eagleThis is the first New Moon of 2017 and it’s in futuristic, unconventional Aquarius. Changes and new beginnings are in the air. After the tension and heightened emotions of this past Full Moon, we could use a bit of Aquarius’ emotional detachment. All planets are in direct motion now which is a rare occurrence and suggests we are moving forward. Aquarius is a sign associated with humanitarian causes and efforts and doing things that creates a win/win for the good of the collective.
The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon at 8 degrees 41 minutes Aquarius reads:
” A flag turning into an Eagle”, this symbol speaks of freedom and of unveiling truth.
Uranus, the Awakener and the Liberator is in charge of this New Moon and continues to connect with Saturn in Sagittarius and oppose Jupiter in Libra. These energies will interact with each other and dominate most of the upcoming year. Here we see big changes on the social and collective level. Many of the changes are happening fast and they’re unconventional, unprecedented and frankly, unpredictable. The thing about change is that change scares people even when we know that that is exactly what is needed; and there is a lot of fear these days. There are new groups or movements that are all about doing things differently and changing directions (Uranus in Aries) but we also see a growing opposition to some of these changes as well as a need for more inclusiveness, tolerance and fair dealings (Jupiter in Libra). Saturn in Sagittarius is in favorable aspect to both of the opposing planets, helping to ensure that the changes that are happening are more constructive, viable, realistic and long lasting, while insisting on more accountability, discipline and cutting out excess.
There has been a great awakening, and we’re being forced to pay attention, to be accountable and to share in the growing responsibilities in co-creating a world and a reality we all wish to live in, moving beyond fear and scarcity, a world that we can all thrive in, a world where we all matter.
Pluto in Capricorn is still not far away; the crumbling of our structures and the decay of our systems that we’ve witnessed in the last several years, will now begin to turn to recovery and reformation.
Chiron in Pisces is also in the mix here. This suggests that there is a challenge or a block to our old escape routes, or the old way of doing things that doesn’t usually work out or in fact, even works against us. The way through seems unclear and obstructed. We seem to be learning from our experiences and mistakes or there is a growing need to.
There are several celestial bodies gathered in watery Pisces now; the South Node, Pallas, Neptune, Chiron, Venus and Mars in the last degree. This puts a lot of energy into the subtle realms and dream time experiences. This also puts a focus on water and liquids; DAPL and the keystone pipelines come to mind.
Juno is close to the Galactic Center, this is the Center of our galaxy, the Sun of our Sun from which higher consciousness and wisdom pours through. See what (or who) speaks to you during this time and don’t blow off your intuition. Perhaps the Universe sends you a Divine Match. This can also suggest we need to partner up with the Universe and co-conspire with LIFE and get down to business! We all can have a unique role to play, a contribution to make as well as a claim at stake. The symbolism of Juno is also associated with ‘giving away power’ and we may get clued in on where we’ve done just that. There are certain shared beliefs that form our reality and we have an opportunity to make some changes in order to bring our goals and aspirations more into alignment with our beliefs and the truth of who we are.
We can really feel it these days when something is not a vibrational match.
Saturn, the ruler of our 3D reality, is not far off from the Galactic Center either and will soon make contact for the first time since 1988. We could receive wisdom and guidance or blessings and rewards from the center of the galaxy. We may now be able to give form to our divinity, prophetic visions, beliefs, our guiding wisdom, higher authority or something that we just know to be true. We may now get our proof.
Mars is just hours away from entering his own sign of Aries for the first time in two years. This starts a whole new cycle of initiative and action. We are motivated to move! Where are your aims and efforts?
Venus in Pisces is quincunx Jupiter in Libra and square Saturn in Sagittarius. This puts a squeeze and a strain on relationships and money; telling us that we need to cut back and use more discipline and to make some adjustments in our dealings with others in order to be fair. In money matters there could be money missing, or dollars slipping through your fingers and a need for a better accounting of where it’s going.
In love, we may desire the intangible and impossible or maybe someone that is unavailable perhaps you desire a more spiritual union or in love with an image but with a square from Saturn in Sag, there’s a big dose of reality and a need to do some tweaking within our unions so that we are on more equal footing. It may also be that we have to outgrow or move beyond certain relationships, relationship patterns or patterns of co-dependency. This may mean that we may have to sacrifice something that we love or want and handle things with more maturity.
Blessings to All at this New Moon!

Cancer Full Moon

11 Jan

cancer-crabThe first Full Moon of the year is in the sign of the Crab. This may be an emotional Full Moon having some wanting to retreat into their shells. This lunation forms a Cardinal Grand Cross which creates a lot of tension and pressure, feeling as if you’re being pulled in four different directions and not able to accomplish much.

We all need a little shelter… just a little helper…to get us by…

The other planets involved in this pattern are Jupiter in Libra opposite Uranus in Aries, and Pluto is not far from the Sun in Capricorn. This implies that big changes are happening and they’re happening fast, leaving us with a sense of insecurity; perhaps feeling that the things that are familiar, safe, traditional or stable are being threatened. Alternatively, it can be exhilarating and exciting as some things that may have been lingering too long and are in need of some excitement.
This is the time of year when we need to balance our domestic, private, home and family life with our lives out there in the world but now we also have the added pressure from Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries. This makes things very unpredictable. We could see a number of things coming to light that may be quite surprising and shocking. What comes up may even instigate our sense of fairness and right and wrong or aggravate our moral code. This may involve family situations or private matters as well as situations involving our reputations, careers, parents, bosses and some of our goals and achievements. We could see breaks in relationships or even sudden or unusual alliances and associations. We could also see agreements made and/or broken at this time. On another level, there is a new vibration that is bringing things into alignment which could bring sudden eruptions, outbreaks or ruptures within the body and/or the need to extract something.
Saturn and Juno in Sagittarius connect with this emotional Moon requiring the need for some tweaking concerning our maturity, accountability, partnerships, agreements and long term commitments. There seems to be a need for more adulting. There may also be shared beliefs and working closely with another toward building something up. It may also be that we can turn to our long term and committed relationships or our partner as a source of comfort and stability amid all of these rapid changes and uncertainty. Alternatively, it could also be that it is our committed relationships or our actual partner that these changes are affecting. There may be a need to be on more equal footing and to have more give and take or to collaborate, cooperate and include others which takes one’s need to assert their individuality, independence and have it their way head on.
Chiron in Pisces also connects with this Cancer Full Moon perhaps creating a sense of homesickness or nostalgia for what used to be as we’re flooded with images and memories as well as some tears. It would be good for the soul to go and be in or near water now. There is a need to cleanse and let go. Be careful of trying to drown our sorrows in alcohol, drugs or food. It’s as if we’re all looking for an escape, a loophole or a way out or through.

There are places I’ll remember all my life… though some have changed
some forever not for better…some have gone and some remain
all these places have their moments…

Another manifestation of this energy exchange involving Saturn and Juno in Sagittarius and Chiron in Pisces connected with this lunation is that it could bring issues related to domestic violence, abuse, sexual abuse or incest into the spotlight at this Full Moon. Situations dealing with victimization and abuse of authority and power may also come up now. We could also see topics involving the rights, laws, protection and security of such victims.
2016 was a year number Nine in Numerology marking the completion of a cycle and it was undeniably in our face all year. There was much that came up from the past, many situations that met their demise and whole ways of life that came to a conclusion. Now we have a year number One; this is very fertile ground to begin anew. We can choose what moves on into our new beginning and what gets left behind for good. Right now, we also have a lot of planets and points gathering in Pisces suggesting that there is still some unfinished business to take care of and all is not as it seems. Things are not exactly clear and there may be hidden motivations or your intentions may not be clear. Relationships and agreements can also be a bit fuzzy or too idealistic. Mercury is now direct and in the last degree of Sagittarius at this Full Moon, enabling us to get a broad overview of a situation before re-entering Capricorn just a short time later where we can start to make more concrete plans.
Blessings to YOU and your family at this Full Moon!

Gemini Full Moon

9 Dec

number-9The Full Moon in Gemini on December 13, will be the last Full Moon of 2016. There is a lot of planetary play and action with this Full Moon. It seems that many of the planets and celestial bodies want to have their say at this important time. Since the Universe does not operate on our time-line, this lunation acts as a link between the ending of one cycle into the next. It’s as if we’re walking through a corridor. This culminating cycle is palpable to many of us and we feel the conclusion of this Nine year; if our eyes are open, we’re aware that there are endings everywhere we look yet there is lots to look forward to. It appears as though we’re about to get a preview.

Gemini has dominion over our thoughts and communication and how we perceive information. Gemini also likes movement, mobility and variety, two of something or multiples; two jobs, two relationships, homes etc. After all, it’s represented by the Twins and duality is a theme. Gemini often can see both sides of an issue giving it the reputation of being superficial or two faced. When the Moon is Full in Gemini, the Sun is across the sky in Sagittarius; this is when we have to reconcile our logic and reason with our faith and beliefs; what we think with what we know or our opinions vs. fact. Gemini also rules over siblings, neighbors and the neighborhood. These are just some of the topics that are illuminated at this time.

Mercury, the ruler of this Full Moon is in cautious Capricorn keeping our minds on the things that matter. Mercury is also approaching a meetup with Pluto but goes retrograde on December 19th, just one tiny degree away from being exact. This doesn’t lessen the power Pluto has to transform the structure of our thoughts, communication and perception; even our perception of time. This has us covering old ground and rethinking or re-planning some things pertaining to our role, our business or careers, our goals, how we spend and manage our time, our authority and responsibilities, our thoughts on success and achievement, our parents or our own parenting; perhaps we will need to re-write the rules on some level.

Mars in Aquarius energizes this lunation suggesting that our aims are innovative and future oriented. There is a drive for freedom and independence even for humanity as a whole. We may see changes of direction, sudden moves and/or radical actions perhaps due to unexpected information.

Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus all connect with this Full Moon and they’ll all be working on our perceptions and communications big time. It may be that talks, conversations or the things you hear in passing may bring something to light, it may be shocking or unexpected or come up against your own opinions or worldview or sense of right and wrong or what you thought you knew. At any rate, don’t expect your thinking to remain the same in some area, be open to alternate views and opinions and give yourself space to change your mind.
Chiron in Pisces also contacts this lunation challenging us to take another look in how we perceive some of our flaws and injured parts and to see things in a new light. We need to recognize the wisdom and strength that we’ve gained and the ways in which we’ve grown from some of our weakest moments. We are to acknowledge the lessons and meaning within these times that we experience suffering and to move beyond them. There is a lot being surrendered and let go of in these times.

There are a few major patterns emerging that will have some staying power, shaping our year ahead and for many to come. Jupiter in Libra, Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries will be mingling for a good bit of 2017 . We’re getting a preview here as the year draws to a close and they get closer in orb. Jupiter and Saturn are both social planets. Jupiter shows our growth while Saturn indicates our boundaries. Jupiter in Libra grows through cooperating with others, Saturn in Sagittarius increases our responsibilities and accountability. Uranus is a futuristic, revolutionary change maker, an awakener; and boy are we being shaken awake.

Shake it don’t break it baby!!!

Headz up for the Holidaze….
Christmas will be anything but typical this year…

On December 24th, Christmas Eve for many, Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries have a friendly encounter. This is the first of three of these link ups between these two very different energies. There is an ease and a blending of the old and the new; traditional beliefs and new trends. We may be able to learn from our experiences and initiate changes. These changes will be constructive ones. There is a slow and cautious revolution where there is a fair exchange between freedom and responsibility. It may be that while we’ve been forced to eliminate excess, cut back, conserve and to focus, to get the meaning of an experience, that this leads up to a break through or an aha moment.

On December 25, Christmas Day and Hanukkah to many, Venus in Aquarius connects beautifully to Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. This puts our money, relationships and the things we value in the spotlight.

On December 26th, Jupiter in Libra gets in on the action with an opposition to Uranus in Aries. This is also the first of three face offs between these two which adds up to a social revolution in the making. Things are changing in a BIG way. There’s an amplified buzz of excitement and enthusiasm now. It may feel like there is a new vibration, frequency, awakenings or new beginnings bringing things into alignment for many. We could also see breaks in agreements and relationships or shocking alliances. Things are extremely unpredictable and changeable.

And the men who hold high places…must be the ones to start…
to mold a new reality…
closer to the heart … closer to the heart

New Year’s Eve looks like there are adjustments to be made within our contacts and associations and healing some of our illusions, feelings of helplessness and savior/victim ways. Some may be torn between many social engagements and a need for solitude. It could also be that we are moving beyond old relationships and relationship patterns or perhaps a relationship has just ended or perhaps we don’t hang out with the old crowd anymore and that has us feeling a bit lonely or falling back into addictions or old escape routes. On New Year’s Day we have a Mars Neptune conjunction in Pisces. This makes a foggy start to the year. Watch how much you drink and overindulge or you will be paying for it the next day. This influence may have us scratching our heads having a WTF just happened moment of confusion. You have been warned.

Happy Holidaze and Blessings to ALL at this Full Moon!!!

Sagittarius New Moon

23 Nov

space-doorwayThis New Moon on November 29th is in the sign of Sagittarius, the Seeker of Truth and Wisdom. Sagittarius is on a journey to explore, discover and encounter new worlds, new ideas and beliefs and new ways of life. Sag takes the high road and has faith and optimism about the future; and who couldn’t use a dose of that these days? On the flip side, Sagittarius can be too moralistic, preachy, self-righteous and judgmental.
These are some of the areas where the ground is fertile now; where new seeds may be planted. For some time now, we’ve had the task master Saturn in Sagittarius which has the effect of curbing our enthusiasm, slowing our growth, increasing responsibilities, testing our faith and limiting opportunities in order to narrow our options and focus. Yeah I know Saturn is all business and seems like no fun but there are valuable lessons here. Saturn is a bit far from this New Moon but we still feel his presence. In another way, Saturn in Sagittarius can have us viewing things from a limited world view. Saturn is also associated with reality or at least the 3D reality so Saturn’s transit through Sagittarius is also about recognizing which beliefs shape our reality. The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon reads, “rocks and things forming therein” this suggests that there are shifts happening and things going on under the surface before manifestation and co-creation.
Juno is very close to this New Moon highlighting relationships, agreements and shared beliefs

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery none but ourselves can free our minds..

This New Moon is square to Neptune and the Nodal axis making this a pivotal time as we are at a crossroads now; somewhat caught between the past and the future and at a defining moment especially where our beliefs, our faith, our sense of knowing, our judgement, ethics and sense of right and wrong are concerned. These are all in Mutable signs so things are in a state of transition; there’s fluidity or changeability. With Neptune in Pisces involved, things are unclear, there is confusion and all is not as it seems. We may even find that the Truth is stranger than fiction. We may feel as if one door has closed but we’ve yet to walk through the new door and we’re hanging out in the spaces in between. The Nodal axis in Virgo and Pisces asks that we also use our intuition in a way that is practical, useful and integrate our spiritual life into our everyday lives, to find meaning, truth and purpose and to learn to listen to our higher guidance, intuition and knowing. The thing is, with Neptune so close, the lines are really blurred. We are being challenged to use discernment, let go of illusions and lies, learn from our mistakes and to course correct for the future.
On another level, at the Sagittarius New Moon, we could see beginings in situations involving legal issues, higher education, publishing, broadcasting or advertising come up now.

There is no political solution
to our troubled evolution
Have no faith in constitution
There is no bloody revolution
We are Spirits in the material world….

Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is in Libra increasing the importance of relationships, equality and agreements. It’s becoming increasingly obvious that we need others; we have to live with, work with, tolerate, cooperate and partner up with others and we have to make arrangements that work for all because we’re all in this together. Jupiter is approaching a square to Pluto which will be exact on the 24th, Thanksgiving Day here in the U.S. This can make for a contentious holiday since people may have strong opinions and beliefs, thinking their way is the best and only way and may try to change or challenge others. There are also major changes in store where it concerns our structures, government, rules and authority. There is an increasing opposition challenging consolidation of power and pushing reform.
This can mean the actual tearing down or rebuilding, rehabbing or remodeling of an actual structure or even earth movements and geological changes as in earthquakes, sink holes and aftershocks.

Rise up and take the power back
it’s time the fat cats had a heart attack
you know their time is coming to an end
time to unify and watch a flag ascend

This is an aspect that will shape much of 2017. I will be talking more about this and you can read some of my thoughts about this in a previous post http://www.spellboundastrology.com/single-post/2016/11/12/Taurus-Super-Moon

You can also read more on Jupiter in Libra http://www.spellboundastrology.com/single-post/2016/09/09/Jupiter-Enters-Libra
Venus, the ruler of Libra, is now in cautious Capricorn and square Uranus in Aries. It may be that the restraint or reserve we’ve shown recently in matters of love or money may be challenged or stimulated by surprises, fluctuations or instability.
New Moon Blessings to ALL and Happy Thanksgiving!

Taurus Super Moon

12 Nov

abundance

The Moon is full in the sign of the Bull on November 14th and it is a Super Moon, one we haven’t seen the likes of in nearly 70 years! It will be big and bright and shining a lot of light, illuminating dark places. Both Taurus and Scorpio are signs that deal with security; emotional and material security. We must reconcile which things we are to hold on to and what we need to let go of. Situations dealing with what we’re comfortable with, what or who we trust, issues of life and death, who we love, our possessions, resources, finances and the things that we value will come up now. We may see a turning point in some area that we’ve been plodding along in or a project that we’ve been building up. Taurus is an Earth sign and is also associated with gratitude, Gaia and her resources; these things are highlighted now. During this time of year, we’re getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving here in the U.S. honoring Earth’s abundance and the things that we’re thankful for.
Uranus is connecting with this lunation suggesting that there are changes and adjustments to be made. This may inject an element of surprise and unpredictability which may not be welcomed as some of our security buttons are being pushed; perhaps even a security breach or a breach of trust. Alternatively, there could be a shake up to a situation that’s been stuck and stagnant. It may also involve new groups, new friends or new technology. This influence can threaten something stable or energize a stale situation. Obviously, this may cause some discomfort even when these changes are the very thing we’ve wanted and needed.
Venus, the ruler of this Taurus Full Moon is in conservative Capricorn. This has us feeling cautious in matters of love and money. We value things of substance or things that are traditional and that stand the test of time. We’re willing to invest in the long term now. We are not into frivolous spending or casual relationships right now. We can also be made aware of the responsibilities that we have to our loved ones and how some of these important relationships help to shape our lives.
At the time of this Full Moon, Mercury and Juno conjunct in Sagittarius connecting with Mars in Aquarius; again, highlighting the importance of meaningful relationships. This may mean that speaking our truth and engaging in honest conversations in regards to relationships, partnerships and agreements has potential to create spontaneous actions, unexpected moves or a show of independence. Expanding our perception and making future plans could also mean a change of direction.
Neptune is conjunct the South Node in Pisces suggesting that we are letting go of old illusions, mistakes, blind spots and escape routes. This is an emotional process.
Chiron in Pisces also connects favorably with this lunation providing some compassionate healing and to ease our suffering a bit.
Jupiter is moving in to contact Saturn in Sagittarius, Jupiter’s ruler. This is a positive interchange and stabilizing influence. These two social planets will be in close proximity into 2017. We can be cautiously optimistic and able to work on opportunities for growth. There could be are career opportunities or opportunities for advancement that also comes with responsibility. We may need to evaluate options and make long range decisions. This also suggests that we are more conservative and cautious, cutting back, narrowing our options -also in regard to our associations and agreements. It also points to our growing responsibility to conserve and to increase the balance and even it up.

Jupiter in Libra is also closing in on a square to Pluto in Capricorn. This is an important aspect that doesn’t happen often. We’ll see these two go at it again in the coming months. This is one of the major shapers and /or players of 2017.

Jupiter is a social planet dealing with subjects like our world view, opinions, beliefs, religion, sense of right and wrong and the Law. Libra deals with fairness and equality and balance. Pluto is a slower moving, generational planet and a force that pushes for evolution and brings forth powerful transformations in whatever it comes into contact with; Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and represents the structure and framework of our society, the rules, authority and what is considered to be socially acceptable. These energies squaring off will challenge and transform some of these areas and change the social fabric within our society for generations. We must be mindful and try to take the high road, to be fair and inclusive and to co-create a world that we all want to live in.

We’re being faced with a challenge to reform structures and even out the playing field. Jupiter in Libra asks that we have faith in others and to give them a fair shake without labels and with more tolerance. The flip side of that is that we can become overly judgmental or excessively moral and righteous. Follow the golden rule and treat others how you want to be treated! It’s pretty simple. This is the right thing to do as one human being to another and deep down we we know this to be true.

Jupiter in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn wants us to have fair dealings that are mutually beneficial; there is an increasing opposition that challenges a consolidation of power and dares a destruction to things that may seem to have been set in stone and a reformation, a new framework upon which we build our lives and our society. Faith in others, tolerance and an increase in peace and harmony can stimulate the rebuilding of structures, rules, policies, etc. We need agreements and rules we can all live with and must be able to see things from another side, or to seek alternatives.

On another level, we can experience growth and opportunity through our associations and we’re able to outgrow and move beyond other relationships or patterns of relating. Our contact with others can increase now and we can be pushed to eliminate any blocks or resistance. The relationships and agreements we enter into now have the power to change our lives for better or worse.

Jupiter in Libra is also a very creative influence and pitted with Pluto in Capricorn, we could be rehabbing, recycling and up-cycling. We want to improve and refine, turning trash to treasure and making shit shine.

New Moon Blessings to ALL and Happy Thanksgiving!

Scorpio New Moon

26 Oct

wind-blowing-leaves-wallpaper-4

Scorpio is the sign associated with the mysteries and cycles of life, death and rebirth. We can easily see the living proof of this symbolism looking out our windows this time of year in this part of the world. The falling leaves from the trees that will once again be born anew come spring.

Must be the Season of the Witch…

All things having to do with magick, the occult, spirits, ghosts, psychic experiences and abilities are also in the realm of Scorpio. Scorpio needs to peer into, through, behind and underneath the surface of things; to research and get to the very core of the matter. It is very fitting that we celebrate Samhain and Halloween at this time of year when the veil between worlds is at it’s thinnest. Even the recognizable symbol of Halloween, the jack o’lantern illustrates that we are merely a vessel for the light. This New Moon may seem extra magickal or other worldly as it connects with Neptune in Pisces and falls so close to Samhain.
Scorpio is a water sign, which governs over the emotional realm but the waters of the Scorpion are anything but placid. Churning, choppy and murky is more like it. Scorpio also has dominion over some of our darker qualities such as passion, lust, control, obsession, manipulation, power, anger, rage and jealousy and things that are considered taboo.

Come on baby Don’t fear the Reaper…

Where we find this lunation in our own charts is where we are likely to experience some of these matters or some sort of ending or transformation in our lives. This is the area of our lives where we may need to hit the reset button. You may have to ask yourself questions like: What am I passionate about? Who am I at the very core of my soul? What fills me with rage? What am I trying to control? What in my life needs “die”? What needs to be resurrected? This is a New Moon that is urging us to learn to give up control, let go and go with the flow.

Mercury is conjunct this New Moon in Scorpio and our thoughts and conversations can become deep and complicated. We could find ourselves questioning the deeper mysteries of life or discussions about death, spirituality, psychic experiences, visions, dreams, other worldly things, etc. We could be researching and observing these things. The more we question, the deeper we go, we discover an endless ocean of mystery.

On another level, we could be handling details or paperwork dealing with insurance, wills, estates, taxes, loans, mortgages or joint finances/ventures or even divorce. Words can be used to manipulate and with Neptune in the mix, all is not clear. You could be misinformed, or there could be information missing or omitted or someone is outright trying to manipulate and deceive.

Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Libra are also connecting in a tense aspect and they’ll do this a couple more times in the coming months. These two planets have much in common in the way of our ideals, beliefs, faith, intuition and spirituality. We may need to do some tweaking in these areas especially where it concerns our relationships and other people.

It could be that you’re dazzled by someone or you’ve projected an image onto someone that isn’t the truth of who they are and there is a call to move beyond a particular relationship or a relationship pattern. Maybe you have fallen victim or have been taken advantage of, ignored or overlooked and recognize some of the major compromises that are needed to make relationships or agreements work. Maybe you’re on the short end of the stick and fed up or you’re the one doing the taking and the other person has had enough. Jupiter in Libra seeks to balance things out. Perhaps you are feeling disenchanted, disappointed or disillusioned by some associations and feel the need to move on. It may be that in order to grow in relationships you have to let go of past mistakes or illusions and learn to accept people as they truly are. Jupiter in Libra wants relationships that are genuine, meaningful, honest and authentic and Neptune in Pisces begs us to surrender our illusions.

Venus conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius further emphasizes that we want meaning in our relationships and associations that stand the test of time. We’re not in the mood for hollow connections now. In fact, we may be overly cautious or serious in matters of love. We may also feel conservative in regard to money also or perhaps only spending on things that increase in value over time or perhaps it is that we value time, knowledge and expertise.
Samhain Blessings & Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeen!!
