Virgo New Moon

Virgo New Moon

There are so many aspects operating in the “background” or the “larger picture” at the time of this New Moon so I’ll attempt to break it down for you.   Mars and Saturn are conjunct giving us passionate urges to transform outdated structures.  We could feel frustrated at this time as if you’re driving with the brakes on or walking through quicksand.  Know that if you have some patience and discipline that the actions you take now can have long lasting effects even if it seems futile with no immediate results.  In fact, those two planets are in a bit of a dilemma as they are involved in a Yod with Uranus in Aries and Mercury in Virgo.  Virgo has a need for perfection and purity, efficiency and attention to detail.  At this time, our thoughts and conversations may be getting down to the nitty gritty, seeing what is ‘wrong’, using discernment to see what works or what still needs to be done. We are now able to penetrate through layers to the core of a situation. If we can take disciplined action and use some patience at this time, we may be able to make the needed adjustments in order for a new beginning.  Or it may be that we have a desire to break free of something but our reasoning keeps us from taking action.  Mercury in Virgo tends to over-analyze, while it’s good to think things through, don’t let it paralyze.  The ideal scenario would let us discern what things need to be done and give us the discipline and energy to initiate changes.

Venus in Leo is also drawn into the mix here possibly making relationships or money an issue.  It may be that a desire for fun, romance, grand gestures and for the finer things is  being challenged by your obligations to other people, or limited and shared resources perhaps resulting in blocked actions and frustrations or even a sudden break if we’re not able to make the necessary adjustments.  In the relationship sector, it may be that we are forcing intimacy or feel blocked in that way for some reason.  Mars in Scorpio can have passionate urges but Saturn puts a bit of a damper on that.  Or it may be that there is a lack of passion or intimacy causing anger or frustration.

Mercury in Virgo is opposite Chiron in Pisces.  Our thoughts could turn to the deeper aspects of life and conversations are not without tears or hurt feelings. At this time, we are pushing for a break-through.  We will need patience and endurance at this time as it may feel very frustrating.  We may want to break down, analyze and think logically about just how and what changes to initiate.  We will be penetrating the layers, getting to the core of things, analyzing psychological issues, eliminating resistance, fear and doubt and the things that hold us back enabling a dissolving of old wounds and the things that contribute to our own undoing.  If we can make a disciplined effort we will be able to adjust to a new frequency and a new vibration, breaking free of limitations.

At this Virgo New Moon, we are in the process of purification, elimination and restructuring.  We can purify and detoxify at the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual levels. Putting in the time and effort to restore and restructure, resurrect and recycle, modify and make changes is for the ‘long run’ and the results will not be immediate.  The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon is “Two Angels bringing protection”.  Good thing.  We’ll need it.  This is not easy work but worth it.
